The Stairville M-Fog 1000 DMX Fog Machine chalks up some impressive performance data when it comes to speed, and its high fog output is also remarkable. It is a medium-sized model for medium-sized stages and projects white haze onto the scene with a degree of efficiency that is astonishing at this affordable price point. For ease of operation, it has a small control panel that, if necessary, can be detached from the housing and then transformed into a wired remote control. Alternatively, the unit can be controlled via DMX. It is simply placed in an upright position, and the fog is diffused horizontally into the room. An extensive range of fluids are available to choose from: Whether you want morning haze or Industrial Rock - the Stairville M-Fog 1000 DMX fog machine will provide a realistic backdrop for the performance.
The Stairville M-Fog 1000 DMX Fog Machine delivers 1,000 watts of power. After a warm-up period of just four minutes, an impressive output volume of 240m³/min is available on the stage. To create a slightly upward-swirling haze, the unit can be placed at an angle of up to 15°. The tank has a capacity of two litres which, at average usage, will last for several concerts with a single filling. The power supply is provided via a hardwired standard power cable. A DMX signal can be transmitted in and out via two three-pin XLR sockets. The corresponding address is assigned using the DIP switches on the back, or you can use the removable control panel, whose non-extendable cable is 2.7 metres long. This allows performers to activate the fog by themselves while on stage. Once warmed up, the fog machine, which weighs 6kg, is ready to go again after a short reheating time of six seconds.
The Stairville M-Fog 1000 DMX Fog Machine is primed for traditional fogging applications. Operators of small and medium-sized stages get a fog machine that is not only up and running quickly, but also delivers a generous output. Beginners can handle the control panel without prior knowledge, consisting as it does of just three knobs and a switch. Professionals working in live clubs and theatres can control the fog volume, the distance between two impulses, and the duration of each output via DMX with three channels. Owners of multi-purpose stages will find the right fluid for every application among the numerous optionally available products, while rental companies and bands who want to take a fog machine along on tour can transport it safely in an optionally available flight case.
Since it was introduced in 1994, Thomann’s in-house brand Stairville has been a permanent fixture in the store’s product range. The brand primarily focuses on the field of stage lighting in general, and its products include spotlights, moving lights, and theatre lighting as well as smoke machines, electronic control systems, and every other accessory you can think of. Thomann constantly has around 1,600 Stairville products on offer, and the figures speak for themselves: Statistically, one in every fifteen Thomann customers owns at least one Stairville product. Incidentally, the name “Stairville” is also a catchy English translation of “Treppendorf”, the town that Thomann calls home.
Connect, heat up, and get the fog going - it's as simple as that. With the Stairville M-Fog 1000 DMX Fog Machine, you can choose the fluid that suits the occasion best - there are five to choose from. If you are looking for an effect that quickly disappears into thin air, choose the Stairville Fast Fog. The lightweight Stairville E-M has particularly good reflection properties, while the Stairville E Special is characterised by a medium density perfect for light and laser design. If you want to immerse a stage in long-lasting morning haze, use the Stairville E-C, and if you want a particularly dense November atmosphere, the E-HD fog fluid will fit the bill. Every tank is empty at some point, so the Stairville M-Fog 1000 DMX Fog Machine features a corresponding LED indicator on the housing. If it lights up red, a refill is required. When the tank is full, the LED goes out after the unit has been switched off and on again.
