Fantastic 'StandTastic'
Synth-Guy 27.08.2024
I needed to mount four synths on a wall and with limited space in the room and I found that the Standtastic wall mounts and brackets were the perfect solution. My purchase arrived quickly and well packaged and the quality of the wall bars and brackets is superb, high quality paint finish and the metal is of high grade and quality with no rough edges. The wall bars are 90cm long with two 9mm holes to secure to a wall, because I was mounting four heavy synths I decided to drill a third hole in the bar for added strength (although the two holes are probably sufficient for three shelves). The bars are supplied with 50mm screws with a socket head and I used 10mm thick rawlplugs as my wall is brick, I found the screws they provided to be excellent for the job although the black washers supplied where to small for the screws to go through.
The brackets are also well made too and are heavy and tough. With four of these brackets connected to one bar I now know why I put a third hole in the bar because there was so much weight here you can tell its good quality and capable of holding heavy synths. Due to me being extra careful and not wanting my synths to accidentally fall off, I decided to screw three bars to the wall so that three brackets were supporting each synth, I thought that should one bracket fail, then two other brackets would still be supporting it. Once it was all fixed to the wall, you can slide the brackets up and down the bars to your required height and with the allen-key provided just tighten it up, the bracket allows you to angle it in three different positions and with the UB-1 adapter (purchased separately) it will give you a forth position of a 90 degree right angle. The brackets also allow you to chose the right depth by means of a sliding bar within the arm, this is loosened and tighten from underneath, I gave this an gentle extra tighten with some pliers just to be sure it didn't slide out from the weight of the heavy synths.
The wall bars and the brackets are both boxed as a pairs of two.
I am so glad i made this purchase, the synths now sit happily on the wall and don't protrude out into the room much with the added confidence that they are securely fixed in place, should i need to swap them around at a later date i know that i can also do this with ease.
