I bought two of these to fit to my new Tama Iron Cobra kick drum pedal and hi-hat pedal as I dislike having the toe of my shoe hitting the drive chain. They aren't quite as effective as I would have liked. I play heel down in leather shoes and the shoe tends to creep over the top of the Shoestopp. Playing heel up or in flat -soled shoes liked Vans it would perhaps be more effective. However, I'm glad I got them as they have helped solve this minor problem.

This was an addition for my double pedal (on both plates). It really helped with marks form the pedal chain on my shoes. It also helped me in better positioning my feet when I play, which contributed to my speed and precision. This is an excellent upgrade for the pedal, and really worth the money. For some players it may take a while to get used to, but you don't have to do it consciously since the shoestop forces you to do it. In a while you'll forget it is even there.
The quality is good, but the black powder finish wears off from friction with the shoe tip. It does not, however, destroy your shoes as the chain does.

Cannot imagine using these pedals without them - an essential purchase (surely should come as standard!). You always have a reference point with these, so you can be confident that your toes are where they need to be for critical footwork & not rubbing against the chain - Not good if you need quick double bass & your feet are too far forwards! Once these were in place it was so much easier to practice precise techniques - you're feet are always better balanced & always have a locatable reference point to work from for a better touch/turn of speed. Essential purchase in my opinion.
