Very Good reverb, excellent echo, ok pitch correction
One Man and a Lady 17.01.2022
I was looking for an affordable reverb pedal for my wife's vocals in our duo that I play backing instruments, and was even looking at guitar stomp boxes as an option when a friend recommended TC Helicon and Thomann. I also hoped to reduce the clutter and number of devices used on the vocal chain - this was a valve preamp and compressor, through a Korg Kaoss pad for delay, and then using the very basic reverb on the mixer.
Browsing around, I decided on this option, as it has all the functions we were using in one compact box.
The transaction with Thomann and international delivery was excellent and speedy, and everything arrived sooner than anticipated.
I spent some time playing around deciding on the best settings, testing out all the options on, and then some on, some off.
I really like the echo on the tape loop setting, and especially that it has tap-tempo and feedback settings. These are not immediately obvious, and referencing the online manual and the quick settings instructions under the pedal is necessary to understand all the options available.
The reverb is also very nice, especially on a moderate hall or club setting. Much better than the single option on our Peavey PA/mixer. We didn't like the pitch correction so much, and since my vocalist wife's pitch is spot on, we won't be using that option.
The tone setting has a bright and less bright option, and definitely helps a lot with presence and clarity. My wife was a bit taken aback by the new tone of her vocals, and at first didn't like the added brightness. She had gotten used to a darker sound that her husky way of singing used to sound through the small valve preamp that I was using for live performances until then. Adjusting to the way the auto levelling function works will also take some getting used to, as she was accustomed to singing intimately close to the mic with fixed settings.
After our first practice together with the pedal, her first comment was that that was the best she'd ever sounded! My hair was standing on end at the improvement to the sound of her voice!
Overall, we're very happy with our purchase, both for value for money and functionality.

It doesn't get easier than this!

I have a Bose L1 Compact which has a single mic input. I wanted something to handle tone and effects for gigs where I am the only singer and I don't want to take a mixer with me. This is the solution! It's not complex, you don't have to pay around with lots of controls, just plug in your mic and sing. For talking between songs, where the effects need to be switched off, just hit the foot-switch. It really is a simple thing to use.

Con (minor!): I have this mounted on my guitar pedal board and it needs a strong, consistent power supply, (>300 ma) which most pedal power units can deliver but if you have other digital pedals, make sure that you have enough juice to power everything.

The Holy Grail

I'm not going to ramble on here, I'm one of those people that's very Skeptical when it comes to buying gimmicky products, easy to market and make videos and bring it home to us that this pedal is the best all in one solution to your vocal chain, honestly before I purchased, I looked at so many YouTube clips and finally I was sold by coming in here reading other Thomann customers reviews, straight out of the box this pedal has completely transformed my vocal chain for the better, I gave 5 stars here, it's deserved, but I would like to see version 3 come out with little less muddiness to reverb, I thought it was me, but few reviews I read say they use the delay and bring in the reverb from the desk, my setting is
Delay center, reverb 9-0-clock position
and pitch at 10-0-clock position, and just a little movement on the delay between tape and digital absolutely does the trick, the old popular saying in music we all know ( less is more) I said I would not ramble on, but final thoughts, every review here is absolutely genuine, right out of box this pedal works amazingly well,
not like the complicated rack units that's out there constantly tweaking and messing around with settings, for the price it's totally worth it, I only just completed my first 8 hour gig with this, and now I'll read the manual to see what this pedal can really do...
