T.bone IEM pack.

Does a good enough job for the average semi-professional/gigging musician.
Hasn't let me down with a good enough battery life.
Please make the jack socket components a better quality as I feel this is the one area that lets this unit down & as the most used part should be of the best quality & heavy duty practicality.
Belt clip adequate, would prefer a 'stubby' ariel (like the type that used to be on Ericson mobiles?).

For the money, these are great!

I've had one of these for a few years and gigged with it many times. It's hard to criticise these when they work so well and cost so little compared with other brands.

It is easy to use. I tend to clip it onto the pocket of my jeans where it feels secure and is easy to get at. It's compact but not fiddly. Changing channels is easy if you have to. I run mine with rechargeable batteries but I always make sure they are freshly charged before a gig and have some spare single-use batteries with me just in case.

The sound is OK , even through the supplied earphones though I use mine with a cheap pair of Sennheisers instead, but I still use the t.bone ones for something else. The only problem is occasionally the sound can drop out for a second. It's alarming the first few times it happens but you can get used to it. I don't know why it happens; maybe it is when the batteries are starting to go flat or when they are being used at the limits of range. The sound is certainly clear enough and there is no buzzy interference. If the sound man can give you a good mix then everything is fine.

We use it as a translation system. I suppose, this system works ok for such a money. One receiver has come with no backlight. Sometimes receivers lose sound for a second due to unfortunate multipath but I assume that you cannot demand from them more for such price. You may want to be very careful with the lid of the battery compartment since it breaks very easily, especially if you use a bit thicker rechargeable batteries.

Good value
Steve84 14.05.2013
I bought this as a second receiver for my IEM system. It's identical to the one supplied with the original system. The sound is slightly hissy but perfectly acceptable in real-world use. The range seems impressive too. Personally I only tend to need a few metres of wireless range on stage, but it seems to go much further.
