Complete conference system from the t.bone

The Speech 100 D delegate station is part of the Speech 100 conference system, which was developed by Thomann's in-house brand the t.bone and can accommodate up to 72 delegates with tabletop microphones that are interconnected by LAN cables to a central controller (t.bone Speech 100 M). Each delegate station is equipped with an integrated speaker, and the central controller can be configured from a laptop using the free dedicated software. Other noteworthy features include a voting function and a selection of discussion modes, which differ in terms of how many delgates are allowed to speak at once. The Speech 100 range additionally includes the 100 C presidential station, which is designed for the meeting chairperson and also features a priority control in addition to the range of functions offered by the 100 D.

Cast your votes, please...

The Speech 100 D delegate station comes complete with a condenser microphone in the scope of delivery, which has a frequency response of 200Hz to 6kHz and is connected to the output on the upper side of the base. The mic features a 40mm gooseneck to allow it to be positioned as needed by the speaker, and a red LED ring located below the microphone capsule illuminates when the mic is active. A 3.5mm headphone output is also provided on the right side of the base, and the headphone volume can be adjusted using the + and - buttons on the top panel. When the time comes to take a vote, the user simply has to press one of the three main buttons ("Agree", "Disagree", or "Drop") and as soon as the voting process is concluded, the result is displayed for 20 seconds on the adjacent LC display.

Open to interpretation

The Speech 100 D delegate station from the t.bone is designed for small to medium-sized conferences. When hosting international delegates, organisers can also integrate an interpreter via the central control unit, and each delegate can listen to them by setting the switch next to the headphone output to the relevant position. Discussion modes with three, six, or nine mics enabled are also available in order to keep things as structured as possible. When the maximum number of speakers has been reached, those who also wish to speak can join the queue by pressing their mic button and will be informed when a slot becomes free. Hire companies will certainly appreciate the simplicity with which the system can be set up, and it can of course also be permanently installed in dedicated conference centers. As an added bonus, the LAN cables it employs will be pleasantly unobtrusive if the conference is to be filmed.

About the t.bone

Since 1994, the t.bone has been one of Thomann’s in-house brands, and its name can be found on devices such as headphones, wireless systems, in-ear equipment, and various microphones and matching accessories. “the t.bone” products are made exclusively by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. This provides a clear advantage: Brand-quality products at very reasonable prices. And word gets around: One in seven Thomann customers has already bought at least one product from the t.bone.

Cabling made easy

The Speech 100 system is set up by first connecting the Speech 100 M unit to the power supply. The input of the first Speech 100 D unit is then connected to one of the mic inputs using the included 2m LAN cable, and the input of the next delegate station is subsequently connected to the first station's Link output. In this way, two chains comprising up to 16 delegate stations each can be set up. If more than 32 delegates are expected, the t.bone also offers a booster unit, the Speech 100 B. Adding two of these units to the setup allows the number of participants to be expanded to a maximum of 72.
