It's a 1,50€ item, it works well enough when winding typical guitar tuners, much faster than hands. Sadly it struggles to fit bass tuners, it's still faster than using your hands but will fall off the tuner constantly when you're restringing a bass. Still would recommend it, for this price it's worth keeping one in your gig bag

Perfect for the price

For the price it does the job. The plastic doesn't look too resistent but for the moment I have used it a lot, it helps to restring the guitar much quicker. If it gets broken I would buy another one again

Cheap and does its job

4 stars because it's so inexpensive, but if you intend to use a stringwinder frequently, you should get one in a higher price class. This one works, but unfortunately, it slides off very easily when turning.

I always though guitar winders were just for those of us who were too lazy to operate the tuners. But restringing a guitar is a necessary chore and every little bit helps. For this price you can't really go wrong. The slot has covers the tuning peg and from there you just wind the handle in the direction you want. The slot is kind of a large universal shape. It doesn't provide a snug fit to the tuners so it feels sloppy to tune and you have to hold it in place. But it still works faster than turning by hand.
A small price for a little more convenience, it certainly saves some time when doing one of the less glamorous of guitar maintenance tasks.
