A piano for all occasions

The Thomann SP-320 is an elegant and compact stage piano that is ready to go anywhere. It features 88 keys and tips the scales at just nine kilogrammes, making it one of the lightest digital pianos of its size and the perfect solution for musicians looking for a sleek, easy-to-use instrument for on stage and on the go. Since it can also be operated on battery power, a mains connection is not necessary, meaning that this piano can be played in any location the user may desire.

Streamlined design and extensive features

The SP-320’s trim housing is scarcely wider than the keyboard itself, but nonetheless conceals an impressive wealth of features: 88 lightweight keys with velocity sensitivity and a bank of 12 different sounds to choose from, as well as two powerful 20-watt speakers that ensure a great sound at all times. Good connectivity has also been taken into consideration: The SP-320 features a stereo output for connection to mixing desks and external speakers as well as a USB interface for transferring MIDI and audio files, and of course there is also a headphone output and a connection for the included sustain pedal.

Ideal for globetrotters

The Thomann SP-320 is the ideal solution for those who are looking for a digital piano that combines great sound quality with an incomparably compact and lightweight design. It can be set up and played anywhere, even when there is no power socket in sight, but this piano is naturally also ideal for use at home, where its dimensions keep space requirements to a minimum and its elegant looks mean that it will blend perfectly into any surroundings.

About Thomann digital pianos

Thomann-brand instruments, which are exclusively built by renowned manufacturers, now constitute a large part of Thomann’s product range alongside numerous big-name brands. With unbeatable price-performance ratios, Thomann digital pianos are the obvious first choice for students and beginners – and others too. The technical features and uncompromising sound quality they offer are usually reserved for much more expensive instruments found in the professional market segment.

It’s more fun on the go

Pianists often have good reason to be jealous: While their guitarist buddies can simply strap their instrument on their back and cycle or take the train to wherever they feel like playing, most electric pianos cannot be played too far away from a power socket. Luckily, however, the ultra-lightweight Thomann SP-320 can optionally be operated on battery power and thus provides an elegant solution for playing on the go. Whether it’s in the peace and quiet of a holiday villa or caravan or out in a busy shopping precinct, the SP-320 is compact enough to go wherever the user goes and does not require a mains power connection, but still provides the luxury of a full-sized piano keyboard.

Some big negatives, but OK for money
el frasho 18.08.2021
Sound wise through earphones is excellent and the keys feel good to play.

Downsides though:
1) the sustain pedal feels very flimsy and the rubber grippers have already came loose after a few days.
2) when sending audio via the rca output, there is a click when the sustain pedal is pressed. Makes it pretty much useless for recording purposes
3)internal speakers are bearable but not great

Excellent first keyboard
DavidWood 21.01.2023
I love this keyboard, I'm not a massive fan of the two piano sounds because they are a little compressed sounding, particularly the lower notes, but that's to be expected with a virtual piano, and I only really bought it for the Pipe Organ sound anyway.

For the Pipe Organ, it's perfect. I connected it up to my guitar amp as the stock speakers aren't quite loud enough for me (that's not to say they're quiet!) but also so I could control bass and treble etc. The Organ doesn't sound like something that's on full crescendo the whole time, playing the lower octaves gives you a softer sound and the higher is more of a bagpipe-Esque noise. I've used some virtual pianos with a Church Organ sound but they always sound too 'twinkly' for me, this does sound like it's being played on actual pipes when loud enough!

The keys are semi-weighted which is excellent, one of the things I was very dissapointed with however was the sustain pedal. It very rarely worked correctly, sometimes requiring me to stand on it with full weight before it would register, other times it would stick on and then not come off again. However, I did purchase a more comprehensive pedal online for around £20, which is more like something you'd see on a real piano, and works very well, so I'm not too concerned about that.

MG
Highly recommended
María G 17.03.2021
Highly recommended, worth the price, especially for beginners and people who play the piano as a hobby.
It comes with a pedal that, without having too much quality, does its job well. It is recommended to fix the pedal to the floor with a sticker to prevent it from moving all the time.
As for the sound, the speakers are not very good, and it does not have a lot of power. However, if, like me, you are looking for a good acoustic piano sound, the Grand Piano option with headphones is perfect.
Although the keys are not weighted, it has a very good sensitivity. However, I do notice that the black keys are much harder than the white keys, which causes some problems, especially when playing them on the upper part of complex chords. It is a little heavy (around 11kg) but is in line with any keyboard in this range. The design is elegant and much better than other pianos of this type (including superior Thomann versions).
If you are looking for a simple and cheap piano, this is the best option I have tried so far.

HC
Spot-on keyboard
Happy Chappy! 12.03.2021
A great keyboard. After trawling through the various options available on and offline I went for this. I'm so glad I considered my choices carefully as this purchase has been a really good one. It is much cheaper and with more quality than it's comparative counterparts and stand's up against far pricier brands.

The service from Thomann was brilliant as well. You'll be reassured every step of the way that any issue will be dealt with.

Company and product... ... great all round
