Underwhelming

I was unimpressed by the quality of the sounds on this USB stick. The profiles themselves are average at best. A few of them are pretty good, but most are nothing special. Nothing you can't simply get from the rig exchange for free at least.

Also, for some reason they are all very loud compared to other profiles.

The tagging on the profiles is basically non-existent, so you don't know what amp this came from or how it was mic'ed. An effort to at least fill out all this extra data would have been nice. The rig names are cryptic and all-caps, which just seems sloppy to me.

I ordered it together with the KPA, so it was only 10 euros, which made it more or less worth it. I don't think it would be worth the full price of 48 euros. Sites like the amp factory give way higher quality for similar prices.

In conclusion; It's a nice addition to the default rigs in the KPA so you have some extra options, but that's about all there is to say about it.

Good/excellent sounds
Anthony3107 30.01.2014
I am glad I bought this stick to go with the KPA. Most of the sounds are keepers, and are as good as any libraries I have paid for elsewhere.
My only issue is the names - they make little sense to me, names like DROLAN I guess are Roland, but I have not decoded most of them (e.g. Dragster, Killerbug, Lemon, Nagger, Puma)

Overall these are a large instant collection of Pro quality - certainly excellent value, and much much better than the Kemper patches supplied inside the unit. You will find most of these are set a little loud, and are best saved with the volume down a little to stop the output overloading

Bought as part of a Kemper bundle. Some usable profiles onboard and handy to have as a USB stick dedicated for updating the profiler

Usefull gimmie whitin the package
Uwe C. 25.03.2014
I bought the USB-Stick within a package together with the KPA and an bag for my Kemper. So in that case it was nearly an gimmie and I didn´t pay 49 Euro for it.
If you use this stick you don`t have to format another stick by the KPA to update your firmware, you can use the stick for this issue immediately.

But the main thing is about the profiles: If you read reviews in the internet most people say the quality isn`t as good as it should be. I did browse to dozens of the profiles store at the stick an I found some useful profiles. I don`t think they have an bad quality, even if you can find better profiles at the rig exchange.

Really helpful is, that there are a lot of profiles named by bands. So if you looking for sounds to cover some songs you may find an needful sound at the stick. I`m playing at an cover band and I´m using an zz-top-Sound provided by the stick which works really good.
