I am sorry for much negativity around this product. But it really is that bad, especially as it is meant to protect other equipment inside it and take the brunt of knocks and scrapes.
I use mine to transport a rack mounted mixer.
First off the material is made of corrugated plastic which with a press of the finger buckles and whites up the material. Also the hardware edging buckles very easily, I transport mine in the back of a car and even with a bag resting on top of it has buckled it causing the list to mate.
Spend an extra £20 and get a sturdy one made of hex board. It’s meant to be sturdy and take a small amount of abuse but I now have to buy twice to get a decent product and learnt the hard way.
I am not a fan of an abs case as I find the handles hard on the hands. As a positive I would say the handles on this were good. But the rest of it was terribly built!

Good value for light use.
Chris240 24.09.2013
As it says in the title, these are good value for money if you only need something that won't be "abused" too much and it's not worth spending lots of money on a case you could drive over.
These are a very good depth for A&H GLD AudioRacks.
These feel like quite a light corrougated plastic sort of material but they are strong enough to protect equipment from light bumps.
Unfortunatley one of the racks I received only had 6 nuts in one side of the the rail rather than 8, so only 3 units could be mounted. This wasn't a problem for me as I only had to install one 3U unit in it so I only needed 2 nuts per side. I also got another one and this has 8 on both sides, so probably not a common problem.
These did come with a full set of rack screws and nylon washers. This is very thoughtful as it prevents scratches on your equipment. You only need a screwdriver to install your equipment. :)
The lids from these are good for propping up monior wedges to get different angles too :)

Average product quality - Appallingly bad customer service
Matthias M. 793 26.05.2020
The Thon rack is of decent / average quality, it does the job and is good enough for home use.
However, before buying anything from Thomann note that their customer service is not there to assist you. They are inflexible and they are not interested in trying to find a satisfactory solution to a query.
