I’ve bought a few “Thon” products in the past and I really trust them (especially the table top 4U racks).
It’s pretty easy to assemble. It took me about 20-25 min. The parts are quite solid and heavy which is reassuring. However you will be a solid Philips screwdriver (I recommend an electric one to screw the wheels and the rails). There’s no path to insert the screws for the rails so you’ll have to screw into the wood itself. Needless to say, once you’re done, it’s extremely solid.
I wanted to buy the 12U but unfortunately it wouldn’t fit under my main studio desk.
I’m very happy with this 10U. It’s deep enough to put all the audio and power cables at the back (and I have a lot, including patch bays). I also bought an electric multi ways that fits inside. The only cables coming out are now for my speakers, FW to my desktop and the electric cable.
The front angle is perfect to access all the racks without bending your back too much. Also the shape of this rack is perfect when you need to plug cables at the back. You just lay it down forward (lift it a little so you don’t damage the front wheels) and you can clearly see the back of your racks.
To conclude, it’s definitely worth its price and I highly recommend it.
Personal tip: I made myself the perfect size of fabric to cover the front during the night.
