I’d previously wasted money on budget overdrive (and other) pedals from an English guitar store that provided an export option. The cost of each was prett much half the cost of this one. There’s an expression that says ‘buy cheap, buy twice’ and although that doesn’t always hold true (HB guitars being a good example) it was certainly true in this case. None come close to the quality of this similar sized unit. It simply works. It never sounds harsh or ragged - I guess if you’re a thrash metal player, it won’t please you but for pop and rock, it’s perfect.

Perfect low gain overdrive for my needs

I wanted a low gain overdrive pedal that I could use to boost my golden plexi distortion pedal. Its perfect for that. Even just used on its own it gives a great clean boost to some of my quietest guitar pickups.
