Great upgrade, but
Makzimia 25.04.2019
I added this to my older silverface Apollo Quad. While I think it's a worthwhile upgrade, there is a caveat, IF you can afford it. I personally think it's highly overpriced for what it does. That does seem to be the case overall with anything Thunderbolt related of course. Ditching my Mac Pro to go Macbook Pro helped me make the shift.

Awesome piece of gear if you are into Universal Audio
music gear junkie :) 15.04.2022
Took me 5 minutes to install it, plug TB3 cable in, turn on, firmware upgrade runs automatially, you're up and running in 1 minute literally. Download and install LUNA and enjoy latency-free heaven :) Not a single issue with it since then and I am using it over a year now.

A new world!
Gegginator 09.05.2023
The optioncard gave me a completely new UAD ecosystem , enhanced features like alt monitor controll, automatic rollback when plugged into a FW system , acsess to Uad Luna wich now is my primary recording software (it’s not a daw!). And the best perk: lower latency!

Just works and very convenient
dustpeople 13.05.2024
Well, it's a bit expensive if you already have the Thunderbolt 2 card in your Apollos but the convenience to not have to use the adapters and not relaying on old cable standards made me get three cards and I have never regretted upgrading my Apollos. If you still use Firewire this is a must have upgrade to bring the Apollo new life.
