Ralph Hardimon's for life!
Chad 28.05.2013
I started using these sticks in 1996 and have never chosen a different pair of field sticks since. The balance is perfect and for the marching guru, these should be the only sticks you own for the field. After marching for 5 years along with a year in drum corps, these sticks constantly hold up but I do recommend wrapping them with tape as rim shots will tear them up quickly as would any stick. While the weight of them can be surprising at first for beginners, this weight is vital as you need the weight for more projection of sound through the snare all the way to the snare head. Even at light playing, you will still have a perfect hit with the way the tips have been rounded. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed!

LD
Best Marching Snare Drum Sticks
László Demeter 15.11.2021
Best sticks for marching snaredrum! Very comfortable weight distribution and stiffness for military snare drumming, the absolute best for rudimental repertoire (exercises, licks, etudes, solos). Works best on pipe drums with really high tension tightened heads, they sound very clear on pads too!
They are a bit heavy if you want to play on concert snare drums, but on any snare over a 6” depth they should do a very good job. They work best when hitting a high tension surface, so you might need to tune some drums very high - for this, try to use as much muffling as needed, maybe even on both heads of the drum.

Perfect for the pad
DrumScum 28.05.2020
I use these on the practice pad to work on strength and endurance. These marching sticks have a very nice balance and rebound, making them perfect for that purpose. Wouldn't recommend to use them on the drum kit, unless you like buying drum heads and cymbals ;-)
