Top Yamaha quality as always... not sure i fully understand the design though

I have the other Yamaha clutch (LC810) but wanted to try this. The difference is this one has drum key tightened locking nuts, which I figured made sense as my current hi hat clutch does sometimes loosen during play - which can be a real pain.

This one can be locked in place but I find it a bit fiddly, initially I thought I'd got it wrong and they were just to adjust for different cymbal thickness but after messing with it (I realised I hadn't wound the lowest locking nut high enough up the thread...) it's now locking. however, no matter how hard I tighten the top one, it still seems to spin... I'll mess with it some more

It's a good clutch and I'm currently using it on my flats practice kit at home.

Typical Yamaha quality and a good price from Thomann

A high -quality clutch!

I have a Yamaha rack for the hi-hat, but I had problems with the old clutch. Tore up the thread so it no longer held the top cymbal.
I decided to buy the LC 930 clutch, because it seemd to me a good quality. I can say that I have no problems with it.
The part which lies the top cymbal is without threading, so it can't be destroyed. For further consolidation can be tightened the screw on top and on bottom of the clutch, which is a good thing, only problem is what you always need to have the drum key with you when you are setting up hi-hat cymbal.

Guaranteed stability

I've had the part for a few months now. In that while, the top hi-hat has remained steady in place. I removed it only once to clean it! :)
Having to use a drum key to remove it is no problem for me. Besides, a drum key is always on hand.

Wasn't the best clutch I've ever used but still did the job. I have it in my stick bag as a spare now
