J
Fantastic dark sound, a bit too quiet
JonnyS 28.03.2017
I was after a dark sounding splash and this product certainly delivers in this department. It's very similar to the audio samples Thomann provides, with a cutting edge in the attack, but not too bright. I do a lot of recording with my drums and the only problem I have with it at the moment is it's volume. Compared to my chinas, mega bell ride, and other cymbals, the volume is quite a lot lower, and struggles to be heard on my mixes. A problem which can be solved with a simple close microphone. So if you're a hard hitter, trying to cut through heavy distorted guitars and bass, this probably isn't for you. However if you're looking for an extra flavour for your effects cymbals, I'd recommend this. For it's price, it sounds fantastic, just not if you want it to compete with the volume of of you chinas.
