Amazing crash for the money
Vykintas 01.03.2020
I am not really sure why the Caz series is so cheap. I have tried Caz, Rockbeat, F5, Raw series, and the Caz seems to be the best for me.
The crash - i liked it so much I ordered a 20" Caz crash, which I also fell in love with instantly.
Caz crashes are thin (not paper thin). The response is really fast and it opens up really easily - you dont need to hit it hard to get the full sound the crash can offer - you can listen how it sounds on my bands youtube channel (search "amendedband on YT). Most people say its for jazz, pop or rock. I play progressive/death metal with Caz crashes and cant find a problem with that - thin crashes are GREAT for recording for any genre.
The crashes are dark and fast - the way i like it.
As for quality - my 17" was a bit dirty - I found several oily black fingerprints on it. The 20" crash was just absolutely perfect.
A note for Zultan crashes as a whole - i ordered my 17" Caz along with a 18" Rockbeat crash (which CRACKED - I will write a review on this crash after my replacement arrives), and the crashes sound almost the same, which was a bummer (you can even hear it in the sound samples). The Caz however is slightly better sounding for my taste.
All in all - I highly recommend this (and any other Caz series) crash - you will not get anything better for your money.

Wonderful

I have Zultan Caz cymbals on a church kit I play regularly. I need cymbals that are responsive at lower volumes, as well as having the capacity to go loud. I have the 16 and 17 crashes, and the 19 crash / ride.

I'm delighted with the set, but if I could only keep one, it would be the 17 crash. It is wonderfully versatile. It has a quick but not ultra-fast response as a crash, you can ride on it at lower volumes for a very bright tone without it immediately washing out. I play a lot of cymbal swells, and this is just a dream to play them on: you can build a crescendo very slowly and it has a wonderful shimmering tone from very quiet volumes. It's hard to believe the price.

I have absolutely no reservations about this cymbal.

- Beautiful sounding
- Hand hammered
- Made in turkey

This cymbal is not a cheap one, this is a high quality one. I don't understand why it costs 1/3 compared to others with the same quality.
The sound is high pitched, full of sweet harmonics, but still warm. I find it really versatile, from jazz to classic rock, just perfect indie like music (I wouldn't use them for metal).
I bought together the Caz 20'' ride and the Caz 19'' crash/ride, and together with the ride, it's my favourite cymbal so far.
Zultan is incredible, I recommend them to everyone

Just amazing!
Odd Erik 06.08.2021
This cymbal blew my mind. Fits perfect with my meinl byzance crashes, but it's so much cheaper. I really recommend trying one. In the beginning I wasn't too excited, but I'm not sure why. Maybe the sound changed after I used it a bit and got plenty of finger prints on it or I just had to get used to it. But now I'm thinking it could be a byzance logo on it :P It's just a great cymbal!
