High-performance DJ mixer

The Xone 43 is the successor model to the Xone 42 mixer from Allen & Heath. Thanks to its elegant design, good workmanship, and professional sound, you get a solid, club-ready four-channel DJ mixer. With its fully analogue design, it leaves almost nothing to be desired, but if an audio interface is also needed, Allen & Heath has the right mixer with its sister model, the Xone 43C. In addition to the four main channels of the mixer, there is also an additional channel that can serve as a microphone input or playback source with its own EQ section. The faders and cues, which have been revised compared to the Xone 42 at the request of users, now offer even better control and elegantly round off the overall package of the Xone 43 once again.

Compared to its predecessor

As a 4+1 channel DJ mixer, the Xone 43 features an intuitive layout and several innovations compared to the Xone 42. Not only has the fader section been upgraded with shorter and easier-to-grip faders, but the cues can now be operated separately and can also be activated one after the other. The proven channel layout, consisting of the gain control, a three-band EQ with kill function, and the X:FX, has been retained. Here, a new finish and the more intuitive arrangement of the filter and cue buttons already make for a better impression. The microphone channel, on the other hand, has been expanded with a stereo RCA input on the front, which now also allows the use of another input source instead of a microphone.

Professional sound for club use

With the typical Allen & Heath quality in terms of workmanship and sound, the Xone 43 offers all the essential features of its big brother, the Xone 96, and is therefore just as ideal for use in clubs or at larger events. Thanks to its DVS support and Innofader-compatible, replaceable crossfader, it also leaves nothing to be desired for scratch DJs. The mixer's 4+1 channel setup makes using a microphone a breeze, while still saving all four channels for the decks. Thanks to its send and return paths, the range of options is also limitless when it comes to effects, while the mixer comes equipped with a single multimode filter with adjustable resonance as standard.

About Allen & Heath

Allen & Heath started building mixing consoles in London in 1969 and made a name for themselves hand-building mixers for some of the greatest bands of the era, such as Pink Floyd. Since 2014, Allen & Heath has been part of the Audiotonix Group, which in turn is managed by the company Electra Partners. Allen & Heath's headquarters are in Penryn, Cornwall (UK), where production takes place, alongside a second factory in China. The British firm is known for numerous innovations, including the development of modular console designs as well as their subsequent integration into MIDI environments. Today, Allen & Heath offer a wide range of products in almost every field of audio engineering - from the small six-channel ZED-6 mixing console to the full-scale dLive Pro Touring System.

Endless possibilities

Equipped with the most diverse of interfaces, the Xone 43 offers plenty of combination options with other DJ equipment. Via the balanced XLR Master Out and the unbalanced RCA Record and Booth outputs, the Xone 43C can be integrated into any professional sound system and delivers Allen & Heath's customary sound quality. Thanks to the send-and-return structure of the X:FX, almost all known DJ effect devices can be combined with the mixer without any problems. In addition to the send and return connections on the back of the mixer, a fifth stereo channel can now also be used for the DJ mix thanks to the revised configuration of the microphone channel.
