Good compromise

It's a good compromise for a fast drop tuning but stability is not as good.
If you don't owe more than one Floyd guitar, where you can swap according to tuning this is a good alternative but don't expect to get the same tuning stability.
I'd suggest to use threadlocker (Loctice 2400 medium / 222 low) on the small screw, given that every time it's on drop tuning, with the vibrations it moves ever so slightly that it's easy to get out of tune.
Threadlocker helps make it harder to move and it becomes a bit more stable but does no miracle.

Unbelievable tool
senyor Jaime C. 21.01.2022
I've to say Van Halen is really a man no matter his music contribution, guitar playing of god level and the gear like this!
Imagine if you tune your floyd guitar between standard and Drop D (unlock the screws, changing key, lock the screws then again fine tune the gear), or spend extra money for having another guitar...Oh!
After I installed this tool onto my guitar, I found, woow, that's cool! It's easy applied to change the key when youre playing. And the tuning is stable between several changing. And even the appearance of the guitar is super amazing with adding this D-Tuna.
Rock on!

Speedy way to change to drop D
kitarist 14.05.2020
I wanted to play some tunes in drop D once a while, but was lazy to retune my MusicMan Axis. Bought this, installed, and it works like it should.
Read the manual or blogs about which screw length to use on your tremolo.

This is just fantastic. You must have a surface mount floyd like the music man and evh' shave, doesn't work on a floating system. Need a bit of fiddling to set up correctly, and if your not sure take to your nearest guitar tech of luthier. Once correctly installed it just works, simply and accurately, every time.
