S
For Children ONLY*!
Schengis 25.06.2019
I bought this anticipating to use it for street music due to its very light weight and transportability. Unfortunately it fell short of expectations, which (I'll admit) is basically my own fault. But I'm giving it 4 stars anyway because that was my oversight.

If you're having similar thoughts, this could still be salvageable. The spring that controls the hi-hat mechanism could easily be switched out for a stronger one (because this thing can definitely NOT support the weight of a normal set of 12" hats). The only problem that leaves is the height of the stand. It truly is intended for kids, and unless you sit very low on your throne or your snare is below your kneecaps, you won't find this stand very useful.

Surprisingly, I ended up being able to use the 'hats' individually as accent splash cymbals. They honestly didn't sound half bad, and that alone almost justified the $50 pricetag. Lemons to lemonade, I suppose.

Great for kids, not buskers.

* I'm sure you could find other uses for this. I believe someone used it to accompany his harmonica playing. That being said, its use on a full kit should be restricted to children/junior players.

A
Hi hat for a harmonica player
Anonymous 15.11.2015
I'm a blues harmonica player and was looking around for a low priced hi hat to add some percussion to my act. This fitted the bill perfectly and I am really happy with it. As I'm not a drummer, I can't say whether it would work well with a full kit.

Valt wat klein uit. Maar wegens praktisch gebruik en goede constructie, upgrading naar 5 stars
