Casio LK-S250

I purchased this keyboard as a Christmas present for my wife, who is eager to learn the piano in her limited leisure time. It does a great job at this task, particularly when hooked up to her iPad in conjunction with Chordana and Synthesia. The lighted keys are a huge advantage to her as they show and wait for her to hit the correct note of the arranged song.

As a professional string player and intermediate piano player, I can say that it comes handy for some of my piano needs as well, such as computer notation and reading of piano accompaniments and scores for my string pieces. Its keys aren't weighted as a real piano, they are lighter and quite plastic, but I find them easy to play. The sound of its speakers is somewhat "plastic" as well, however you can instantly improve it if you plug the unit into a better set of speakers. You could also connect via USB MIDI to your computer and play better sounding banks via MIDI and through external speakers.

I fancy the 80's boombox handle in the back and the general portability of this unit. It is easy to carry around. You could even take it for a play in the park as it has battery power option!

I also like the harmonic and rhythmic accompaniments this gadget can do. We even tried the karaoke microphone input with my SM57. It works well, although there was some audible buzz into the speakers. Don't expect superior audio and midi quality at this price range. Otherwise it seems to be good value for the money it is worth.

This keyboard offers great tools for learning to play the piano. My kids love the illuminated keys, and while there aren't that many songs there are several classics (like christmas songs) which makes it even more popular.

The sound is, as we guessed, not the best - but that's not the main reason to buy this keyboard. When you learn the basics using just one hand you can simply activate two hand lessons and learn to play using both. Impressive tool, really. We love it.

Mon avis un peu plus détaillé. J'ai acheté ce synthé pour les 10 ans de ma fille et pour l'initier à la musique.

Pour l'aspect apprentissage, c'est parfait. On peut choisir de travailler, main gauche, main droite puis les deux à différents tempo sur de nombreux morceaux bien qu'orienté classique (petit bémol, pas ou peu de musiques modernes)

La connexion avec chordana fonctionne en USB avec un cable OTG en revanche il y a des soucis de son parasite en mode auxiliaire (testé avec 2 câbles).

On peut importer des fichiers midi dans l'application chordana en revanche ce n'est pas faisable dans le clavier (attention les midi purement piano ne sont pas simple à dénicher, il y a souvent des pistes avec qui posent problème en mode apprentissage).

La qualité du son est médiocre en revanche. Les différents sons sont peu crédible mais pour l'apprentissage ça peut être suffisant (à ce prix c'est acceptable).

Le mode dance est très fun et bien pensé, et les rythmes intéressants.

Le côté portable est appréciable, il prend peu de place dans une chambre. Il peut être emmené partout mais attention seulement 8H avec les piles (peut être un peu plus en désactivant les lumières)

Je n'ai pas essayé mais je conseillerai peut être son grand frère le LK-S265 qui à peut être un meilleur son. Je ne sais pas si on peut connecter un ampli dessus pour améliorer le rendu.

Je conseille quand même ce petit synthé pour un enfant qui sera pas trop regardant sur la qualité sonore. Celui ci est très complet et permet de s'amuser que ce soit en leçon, en mode dance ou avec les rythmes. Ma fille est trés satisfaite et nous fait des concerts :-)

Hintaan nähden ominaisuuksia saa todella paljon. Laite on kompakti ja ihan kestävän oloinen. Joskin ihan muovia. Sen voi ottaa helposti mukaan ja toimii myös paristoilla. Muuntaja on mukana. Se ei ole aina selviö näissä edullisimmissa. Kantokahva on kätevä ja siihen saa kiinnitettyä ihan tukevan nuottitelineen, joka tulee mukana. Laitteen napit ovat jämäkät ja käyttöliittymä on todella virtaviivainen. Rulla tekee käyttämisestä ihan nopeaa. Manuaali kannattaa lukea, koska pikatoimintoja ja säätöjäkin on.

Ääniä löytyy ja useimmat ovat ihan käyttökelpoisia. Rytmejä on myös mukavasti ja niihin saa ihan ok kuuloisia säestyksiä ja fillejä. Laite osaa myös ehdottaa rytmiin sopivaa soitinta. Lisäksi konemusiikkitoiminto, jolla koskettimilla voi kytkeä looppeja päälle ja pois. Ihan hauska, mutta sellaisia kaipaava tekee varmaankin jollain muulla rytmit. Äänipuolta haittaa hieman laaduttomat kaiuttimet. Onneksi voi liittää omat tai käyttää kuulokkeita.

Opetuspuoli on ihan ok. Klassisia kappaleita löytyy soititmesta ja tabletin liittämällä Casion Chordanassa lisää, mutta appi on aavistuksen konservatiivinen ja iäkkään oloinen. Siihen saa toki omia midikappaleita ladattua opeteltavaksi. Mieluummin käyttää kaupallisia ohjelmia (USB-johto on hankittava erikseen). Metronomitoiminto on hyvä lisä opetteluun. Sitä ei edullisissa aina ole.

Opastavat valot saa pois koskettimista. Koskettimissa on kosketusherkkyys, mutta koskettimet ovat hieman kevyet ja tunnottomat. Niissä on kuitenkin hyvä tekstuuri eivätkä ole kovin onton oloiset.

Minusta laite sopii kevyeen jammailuun, tabletin appien tai harrasteluohjelmien kaveriksi tai esimerkiksi nuorelle herättelemään innostusta, millaista musiikkia haluaa harjoitella. Jos on tarkoitus harjoitella vähänkään vakavammin, voi laite jäädä vähän heppoiseksi nopeasti.
