Great reed, but...

After many years I decided to get back to D'Addario reeds.
At first I got me the non organic Select Jazz and was once again happy with these reeds. Been playing on Rico blue box since before 2000, so I am concidering myself as a huge D'Addario fan, but the reeds after Rico were just terrible.
Next batch I ordered came in the Organic packaging, and sadly, once again I have to say that D'Addario is not doing that great. I was playing on the 3S SJ Filed and the organics are way too soft in comparison to the previous ones. Durability is also terrible, one reed died on me while breaking it in, and the rest are not much better.
As it comes to sound, yes, you do get this nice warm and full sound you expect from these reeds, but only for a few hours. After that you got yourself a dead piece on the mouthpiece.
Maybe, just maybe, I try next time going up a strength and order the 3M to see if it does any good, but I will consider other options before that.
Just for the record my main Saxophone is the Selmer SA2 Tenor with Theo Wanne Gaia2 8 and the Selmer 404 lig.

They decided to get rid of plastic covers to be more Eco friendly. Also the reed strength Stamp is now on the face of reed. Great brand would recommend these series of reeds.

Gutes Blatt in ökologischer Verpackung

Ich habe mir dieses Blatt aufgrund einer Empfehlung zugelegt und bin echt begeistert. Ich habe bisher weder Rico noch DAddario Blätter verwendet und bin es gewohnt das von 10 Blättern ca. 3-4 von vornherein nicht zu gebrauchen sind.
In dieser Packung sind zwar nur fünf, aber davon ist keines ein Ausfall. Dazu der satte, jazzige Ton, gefällt mir sehr gut.
Im Unterschied zu herkömmlichen Packungen kommen diese Blätter in einer Pappschachtel und sind selbst auch in einer Steckhülle aus Pappe drin. Da ist leider noch eine dünne Plastikhülle drum, aber das ist dann auch alles an Kunststoff. Die Papphülle kann einfach im Papiermüll entsorgt werden.

Não tinha usado este modelo orgânico, já uso Select Jazz há muito tempo.. porém essa acredito vir um pouco melhor e mais preparada, porém senti um pouco a durabilidade menor, comparada a outra não orgânica …

De geral , gostei e irei testar mais .
