Sadly it's a no from me
Kostas Saxophone 11.03.2024
After years of ditching D'Addario reeds I decided to get back and try them once more.
Got me the pre-organic 3S SJ and was happily surprised.
Next I got me a batch of Organics and got to say they are terrible once more. Sound is great, just as expected from SJ.
Durability is not good. After just a few hours they die and just loose all the characteristics from the reed and the sound is stuffy.
Consistency is a great plus, all reeds are much closer to each other than they used to be in the past.
The Organics are softer than the previous ones. I play on 3S and now they are way too soft, I guess I should get me the 3M if I knew that prior to placing the order.
In all, not a good reed. Sorry D'Addario, but you should try a bit more with the quality control. Selling softer reeds without sending out a newsletter or putting it in the description is not a wise marketing strategy. I usually order in bulk, luckily I didn't this time. Otherwise I would have 10-15 packs of non usable reeds. I would like to try the 3M maybe in the future, but still considering my options.
