A
Very useful and long-living kit
Anonymous 31.01.2015
I am using this Guitar Care Kit by d'Andrea since almost five years and it still is far from being empty. I have several guitars on which it is used on a regular basis (at least 4 times a year per guitar).
The three items provided are a bottle of lemon oil, which is the most useful of the items as it is the main caring tool for unfinished wood surfaces (e.g. rosewood fretboards). It keeps them moist, which does not just make them look better (richer wood colour) but also improves playability (the fretboard feels so much slicker after having used the oil on it).
Second, there is the string cleaner, which I don't use that often as most of my guitars are fitted with nano-strings which aren't that prone to corrosion. But on normal strings it does a pretty solid job of freeing them from dirt and rust. You just ought to be careful on spilling it on the fretboard as it is said to be rather aggressive towards wood (never had that experience).
Finally, the polish can be used on finished wood parts in order to make them shiny and clean them from dirt. A polishing cloth is also provided.

n
Nifty kit, but a few product flaws
nikreiman 19.01.2022
This is a pretty handy all-in-one kit, but the product itself isn't great. As others noted, the bottle for the lemon fretboard oil is defective and doesn't really keep a tight seal. Fortunately, I was able to transfer the liquid to another spare from a travel shampoo bottle. Also, the cleaning cloth is great for guitar bodies but not fretboards. The fret edges will cause the cloth to fray a bit, which leaves small bits of fabric on the fretboard and the cloth with a visible "torn" look in the area used to polish the fretboard. I use the cloth just for body polish, and something else for the fretboard though.

Every Guitarist Should Have These
Drop D 19.10.2021
This care kit really is worth it. I have a number of guitars and this kit has lasted ages, I still have plenty of Cleaner, Polish and Oil left. A little drop of this stuff goes a long way.

The fingerboard oil is top notch, smells good and has kept all of my guitars in great shape. I use it every month to a month and a half. It really does keep the fretboard in great condition.

Same goes for the polish and string cleaner. The fretboard oil is also great for my natural finish, open pore rare woods Ibanez, so its very useful for the body and neck of the guitar, not just the frets.

Awesome product and a good price too.

cb
what does what??
confused beginner 18.12.2021
ordered this kit, the description under tells me there is a

Guitar polish
Fingerboard care (lemon oil)
String cleaner
Polishing cloth

the cloth I can kinda guess, but what are the rest, the text on the bottles are in german, there is no manual with the kit, there is no description of what does what, as a new beginner I have little to no idea what does what, I just know it's a good idea to take care of your instrument, but even if you can read German there are NO description of what the different bottles do,

the Fingerboard care (lemon oil) is called (I'm guessing here) zitronenölreininger with translates to something like lemon cleaning oil, so is it a "care" or a "cleaning" oil?? do I "clean "my and again I'm guessing here fretboard with this or is it an after"care" to protect the neck?? and the 2 other bottles is the same,

I won't risk damaging for me expensive bass, I'm throwing this out, and my advice, if you are not sure EXACTLY what to do, go get something accompanied with an explanation in your local instrument dealer
