string bending doesn't work
Boyan Hristov 13.09.2020
As the title suggests, string bending doesn't work with this capo.
I've used Dunlop trigger capos for 20 years and haven't noticed anything different when I use them - I just clamp it and play how I play. With this one, I go out of tune -looks like the rubber/silicone? part that makes contact with the strings is maybe too soft, and the strings slip and go out of tune when I bend. Tightening the spring helps a little, but then you don't get the benefits of clamping the strings with just enough tension to get good tone and retain intonation.
If you don't bend then it's fine. If the capo was straight it would have been great for classical guitars with flat fretboards, but it does have a slight radius so you can't use it on your classical. I think they should consider making a flat model for classical /nylon string guitars, I'd buy it.
The mechanism that tightens the spring seems like the thing that might go first, otherwise built seems solid, the finish and feel are very nice, and it does have a decent weight to it.
As much as I like Harley Benton, I'm not sure I'd recommend this one.

My first capo - and what a surprise!
BananaDragon 21.11.2024
Harley Benton never seems to disappoint! I was looking for a more affordable capo option for both my acoustic and electric guitars. I don't need anything fancy - it just needs to get its job done.
This is how I stumbled upon the InTune Tension capo. With a price of 9,90 euros, I didn't expect much (especially seeing the other options rivaling on Thomann with an average price of over 20 EUR).
But meh, I still decided to get it - better something than nothing. To my surprise, the capo is extremely comfortable, feels excellent in hand, has a nice resistance in its spring and feels a lot more expensive than it really is! I wonder if I ever thought it really costed 9.90 EUR, it just feels so good!
No issues with the tone whatsoever. No buzzing at all.
Overall a great product which I'd totally recommend to anyone looking for a more affordable, yet as good, if not better, option for a capo!

Might be the best option in this price range
Swords 12.12.2020
I was going to buy more fancy and expensive capo, but suddenly couldnt afford that. So just got recommendations from Thomann kind team, I have to admit.

Quality of the metal is very good, solid and feels good when you touch it.

The spring is quite adjustable! And my 13 on acoustic which is in E holds very easily! I love the drop tunings and heavy strings and this baby eats it ))

Only con about the capo is when I unscrewed fully the adjustable bolt the sping totally came out, the device doesn't have any stopper to stop from felling down the bolt. Anyway I could put install it back and it works .

Maybe that is not the issue but the idea to be able to switch the spring if you need harder tension!

If you are low on budget and looking for great tuner, this is it!

Very good capo regardless of price
Nuno S 12.06.2019
The capo appears to be made of high quality materials and great construction. It has some weight to it and doesn't feel flimsy at all. I measured it at 82g so it's comparable to other aluminum capos.
The silicone pads also seem to be of great quality and durable.
The adjustable string tension works pretty well and allows for a tighter or looser grip of the neck.
I've tried it on electric and acoustic guitars and even on a bass, and there's no muted/dead strings.
I hadn't noticed the bridge pin tool so that was a bonus. Pretty cool idea that will come in handy.
