I was looking for a good quality capo to replace my old one, which was bought in New York from a small store a few years ago but since then had lost it's 'clamp' on the fretboard, resulting in unwanted noise.
I found a few options, but ended up springing for the Ortega because of it's aesthetic. I was not disappointed.
For a quick release capo it's very stylish, very heavy and definitely holds well - has a very good spring in it.
Though there are more expensive options that you may be tempted for, don't bother going for them as I believe this is the best capo I have ever used

Got this capo as a gift, was immediately impressed with the build quality and the tension in the spring. I figured it must be an expensive capo, was delighted to find they were only 12.50 on Thomann. so ive been recommending these capos to many since then, i use them on all guitars, including classical guitars and other larger neck profiles. Overall a very nice product from Ortega

Crapped out after six months use

I orderd this Capo looking for an affordable alternative to other capos I own. At first it worked fine. Last week however, the rubber inlay in the capo popped out. I could reglue it, but I don't want to chance a faulty piece of equipment while I'm out gigging. I was pretty happy with the capo before, this is a disappointment!
