Huge flexible sound in a box!
Gus Posada 17.05.2020
25 years ago, I started with the CB095 version and then moved into the CAE version 10 years ago. Now to save space and being able to switch into different response types, I decided to test this little guy. I must say that my hopes were really bellow the bar. I use a very complex setup with different pre-amps and true-bypass switchable effect chains. This guy just fit as you would expect for a vintage or edgy stile. After testing the three coil options, I went for the Classic and decided to modify the different chains to respond accorded to input. I have to confess that at the beginning the small size tricked me many times into stepping and waving into different ways that did not worked out the typical chunk-nose... but, it was only a matter of understanding the new adaptation of your foot stepping on it. Tip: try not to balance the pedal with your heal, specially if you come from big wahs, but to use your foot’s arc. The true bypass kept the kick coming from different pickups (single, humbucker and over-wound humbucker), and the coil response was as you should expect from the original vintage pot master back in the funk days. Of course, this is a keeper and a must for lack of space... best choice ever!

M
Love it!
Mojek 12.10.2019
Maybe not for everybody, but here are the PROs of this little Wah I' ve found
1, it fits small pedalboards and gig bag pocket easily :-)
2, internal switch allows you to choose between 3 Wah types (you will love at least one of the 3, they are all very usable)
3, the pedal enclosure made from metal (as sturdy as big CB)
4, you can operate it with battery (even the Wah mechanism and PCB needs some space, you can operate it battery)
5, you can easily adjust the toughness of the Wah pedal with the screw
6, it' s lightweight (remember the weight of original CB?)

CONS
1, it feels somehow wackier than my heavy original CB from 70' s
2, hopefully will not need repairment in the future, since it's SMT technology inside
3, why is this more expensive than original CB?:-)

T
For small and portable rigs
Toolleeow 18.03.2020
I needed a Wah pedal for my collection.
I am a classic rock lover so my choice was Dunlop CryBaby without second thoughts, but I also like small pedalboards and flexibility.
It takes a little time to get used to but still struggles to be as ergonomic as the normal sized one, the activation in particular is not as confortable. Once activated it feels exactly like a normal wah, if you position your heel on the pivot point.

PROs
- It fits one-row small pedalboards perfectly
- It sounds like a CryBaby Wah should sound.

CONs
- Not as easy to use as the normal size counterpart

S
half the size, same quality

Just as good as it's bigger counterpart, sounds great, easy to use, and it's small size can make handling generally a lot easier, if your looking for a high quality wah this is not an option to overlook.
