I have a Taylor guitar and they fit these strings as standard to all their guitars. However as a gigging musician, I found them a little too expensive as they were costing between €14 & €17 per set. I play pub gigs about 6-8 times per week & play hard sometimes so I occasionally break strings. This made the cost a little prohibitive as opening a set to use 1 string leads to having to change the whole set when the gig is over making the benefit of the long life somewhat moot. They are excellent sounding strings and do stay cleaner & playable for longer than other brands.
I am delighted they put them in 3 packs at a more affordable price and would be happier if they put them in packs of 10. Also, if they reduced the price a little more then they would pick up way more customers like myself. Smaller margin but way bigger volume of sales. Almost all of my peers locally feel the same way. At the right price point I would think every guitar player would probably use these! They are worth €10 a set all day long!
Anyway, thank you Thomann for supplying at an affordable price!

Not cheap - but worth it in the long run
Clansfolk 18.03.2016
I have a collection of guitars, ranging from top of the line to quite cheap, I have been playing Pro & Semi-Pro since the 50's and over the years tried most brands, since coming across Elixir strings about 12 years ago - they are all I've used since.
Pros for Elixir are they outlast normal strings - so although they are initially more expensive to buy, I find they last 3-4 times as long as cheaper strings so work out better value in the long run.
Being coated - they cut back on squeak whilst playing - a bonus when recording and protect the string from sweat and dirt with the bonus that they sound good throughout their life!
Cons? well none really the only one would be they are expensive at first glance but as explained above, work out cheaper in the long run - so none (which is why I use them)

Perhaps the best strings you can find

Really, there's no question about it, I tried most string brands, nothing beats Elixir. Durability, sound, no rust, volume, they have it all. And with this package, the price is also amazing.
