Some time ago I had installed the Fender Locking Tuners GD (gold) on my black USA Fender Stratocaster for tuning stability and faster string changes.
However, from a pure ecstatic point of view, I preferred the pearloid knobs of the Fender Deluxe tuners much better that the golden knobs of the locking tuners.
The exchange was done in a couple of minutes and although the locking tuners are made in Korea and de Deluxe are made in Taiwan they fit perfectly and the knobs can be exchanged (swapped) between them without any problems.
Now I have the best of both worlds, Fender locking tuners with Fender perloid knobs.
PS: Both tuners are of excellent quality and if you do not need the locking feature the Deluxe version would be perfect!
