I ordered two of these for a custom build guitar project and only ended up using one.
The other remained in my jeans pocket until I later re-found it when I was in the pub with some friends. I took it out to see what it was, but when my friends caught sight of it, it was as if it held them in awe and wonder and I instantly became the leader of the pack. This in turn has since instilled an air of confidence in me that never existed before and now as long as I have that string tree in my pocket I am able to approach women in bars, go bungee jumping or gamble on high risk investments knowing I am a man in full control of my life.
At the slightest sign of of failure in any aspect of my life, I simply take out my string tree for a few moments and all comes good. Who'd have thought this possible?
Oh, and the other one did a really good job of pinning my strings back smartly on my custom build!

Very nice quality

This piece is of very fine quality. The only downside is that the washer is the shorter one meaning that you can only use it for the high E and B strings.

A worthy upgrade for a cheap guitar
Funeral Musician 21.01.2023
I purchased this string retainer to replace the one on my cheap guitar because this, unlike the original part, is curved on a horizontal axis, so the strings do not come in contact with the edges of the retainer (which were fairly sharp on the stock retainer) and only push against the smooth curved underside of it. I have yet to do any testing on whether it actually prevents the strings from breaking at the point of contact, but, having made this easy and inexpensive modification, I sleep much better during the night, so to speak. Also, this retainer is closer in looks to a genuine Fender part from a certain time period than what you would usually find on a budget Fender copy.

CONS
- the ring that raises the tree from the headstock is a little too short... Providing different sizes or a second one would have been appreciated.
