Beyond what i was expecting, by far!

It might sound weird to some but yes i think this is an HB product that might not make money back for HB(Thomann). I was a bit hesitant buying this amp because most people in forums and my friends where saying that HB are not so good, guitars, basses, amps are cheap but they feel cheap also. This was my first HB product and i can say from my heart that this doesn't feel cheap at all.

I was looking for a practice amp mostly and probably play a bit with friends so i thought id give this amp a try and because its cheap if it was not up to it i'd probably get away with just playing alone at home and probably would buy a better amp in the future. Well it seems that this liitle beast will serve me for more than that.

Size and weight are ok and what it gives you for the price is really unexpected.
The 10" speaker gives deep enough lows that you could imagine its a 12" instead but its is not(I'm not sure if this ocurrs because of the wooden floor in my room). Equaliser gives you the normal Bass and Treble cut/boost knobs but you get an extra one for the mids. You get one mid frequency knob and one mid cut/boost knob so you can play a bit with it and have some very different results out of it. Volume wise, its LOUD, haven't used it above mid level because i think the wooden floor in my room will collapse. Gain knob starts distorting far after the midlle position more like at 7 so you get some extra clean volume out of it too.
The compressor engadges and cuts things out just fine and when it does a small blue led lights up, but i didn't see it boosting volume when i play low, but probably because i play with the volume a about 2 in the room.
Aux in and headphones jacks work just fine. I didn't use the DI yet, its the one thing i missed. Oh, also the top handle looks good too, its sturdy and retracts when you put the amp down.
The build quality is far above average. Nice cover surface, metal matte black corners, but no metal grill in the front to protect the speaker from kicks. Well its been a long time since i stopped kicking my amps!!!! so not a problem there.

Pros : Price, Sound, Volume, Features, Build quallity, It made me REALLY HAPPY!!!(this might not be a pro for those who haven't bought it yet, you have to buy it and then you'll be happy too)

Cons : My room is small and i have many neighbours that might be upset when i try to turn up the volume.

Overall a very good amp for the price and i trully believe that HB is not making much out of this amp. The sound is good, the build quality looks good, nothing bad to say for a 10" speaker amp with a big and wide sound.
Thanks a lot to the employes in Thomann and special thanks to Kyriaki who helped me with the mistake i made when ordering as it was my first order from you guys.

Very poor QC

I bought this amp as part of a set, which included the B-550 5 string bass guitar. The bass was fine, but I expected that because it was the third HB bass I bought and every bass arrived in pretty good shape. The amp, however, was and is a horrible experience. First off, Thomann neglected to use decent packing material. That resulted in an amp that arrived pretty badly beaten up. The box at least. After unpacking, it turned out the amp wouldn't turn on. I have been in contact with customer support and they offered to replace it, free of charge. As it turned out, a fuse had come undone during transport. Luckily the fuse was still rolling around in the box so that problem was sorted rather quickly. The real problem, however, is the DI output that does not work. Frankly, that was the only true selling point for me, so basically the amp is just sitting there, collecting dust. As much as I like the HB instruments, my experience with their equipment is far from ideal and I will most definitely not recommend this amp to anyone.

It's cheap and if you keep your expectations realistic, you might be disappointed, it's not an amazing amp, but I would say it's good enough for practice

It's cheap and it does its job.
Obviously it's not powerful enough for a live situation but it's great for beginners.
