I bought this to replace the plain white pick-guard on my Harley Benton Strat clone. I was hoping that - since they were both Harley Benton - that the screw-holes would all line up. Unfortunately they do not, so I had to do some plugging and drilling. I also had to finesse the perimeter of the pickguard with a Dremel and a file to get it to fit between the neck and the bridge, and the holes for the potentiometers are 5/8" (9.5mm) whereas the potentiometers on the guitar are 8mm.
Interestingly, it does to to match up perfectly with a pick-guard I took off a genuine (Mexican) Fender Strat from 2018, so I guess this is made to Fender specifications and not to Harley Benton specifications. Go figure.
Anyway, this isn't a criticism - just a note of caution. It looks lovely in real life - there is a really nice depth to the pearlescent effect: the picture on the Thomann website doesn't do it justice at all. Despite having to go to a little more trouble to install it than I was hoping for, it looks great on the guitar and I'm very happy with it
EDIT 2024: In 2018, I bought the genuine Fender version of this. Fast-forward 6 years and the genuine Fender one has yellowed very badly but this Harley Benton one is still as white as it was the day I bought it. I'm back here now to buy this one for my Strat to replace the now nasty-looking Fender original
