Big band playing always will have at least one number requiring hat mutes. I bought the Humes & Berg Stone lined mute and, what a difference from hand over bell. The mute is very sensitive to distance from the horn, with quite differing sounds being possible. If you need a Derby Hat Mute, then I can only recommend this one

Der Derby-Mute ist bestens verarbeitet und lackiert. Im Big Band Einsatz wird der "alte" Derby-Sound bei Trompeten und Posaunen wie erwartet produziert. Alles ok. Ein Derby-Stand wie auf alten Fotos wäre schön, ist wohl aber nirgends mehr erhältlich.
