Kenny Rampton model - a world-famous trumpet player and long-time member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under the direction of Wynton Marsalis
Good sounding and tuned, easy to play, comfortable to hold
An expressive trumpet mute
Provides consistent pitch when switching between open and closed (tight) mutes, which is essential for ensemble passages
The "KR Indigo MAX" is slightly deeper and wider on the outside than the "KR Indigo".
The sound and intonation of the mute is excellent for standard trumpets (e.g. Bach 37) as well as for larger bells

Very good plunger mute!
After using a dennis wick plunger mute en a regular plunger as a mute for years, you hear the difference immediately.
Tone is way better and it seems way more 'in tune' than a regular plunger mute.
One thing that is amazing as well, is the ability to use it with a straight mute.

Jealousy from trumpet pals

Big, fat, uproarious and quiet sounds can be created with this accessory - in a different class to a cheap plunger and it's in tune at all volumes. Worth saving up for.

The Kenny Rampton Hirschman Indigo Max Trumpet Plunger is a game changer. Great sound and response and extremely versatile with the addition of the "Kenny Penny". Leave it open for normal plunger action and close it for use with a Pixie or even Straight Mute.
