S
Just a tiny flaw
Suzi 21.04.2017
I am not a professional bass player, and i have been using this bass for quite some time, and I am really satisfied by the way it looks especially this beautiful shiny black of it, and the way it feels when you hang it with a strap, it is silent, is good for practicing, especially if you are living in an apartment. Until now everything is nice, but one thing that bothers me is a sound when I reach the lower or higher notes on the E, A and sometimes the D string. Its an annoying vibrating sound that comes from the battery spot. Though this tiny flaw can be easily prevented but unfortunately temporary (by pushing the tiny door that opens the battery spot a bit harder, then test the strings and some chords. The vibration is gone), this guitar is amazing, and I think that is ok to learn to play the bass guitar, without bothering anyone.
So, as a conclusion, its a very good guitar especially for beginners, and I personally think that this flaw can be easily fixed, but I still need time to find how.
So have fun guys, hope I was helpful enough .
Peace and Rock on! \m/

A
Beautiful Accoustic Bass
Anonymous 07.12.2016
I played bass for decades but never had an accoustic. I have a lovely Ibanez 5 string soundgear and then bought this accoustic guitar.

It was just what I had hoped for. Very well made, attractive finish. Built in EQ. The sound through a amp is warm and full.

Only drawback is that unplugged it is not very loud. if you are sitting around a campfire with friends on 6 strings everyone must be restrained, because if you strum or pick harder it becomes twangy in tone.

For a good quality midrange accoustic bass, you will not be disappointed.

Great acoustic bass for the money
1MadIrishMan1 07.02.2018
No issues with shipping.
Build quality and play-ability is good. Action is reasonably good, intonation appears fine.
I also own a Kramer acoustic, which has a larger body. Compared to the Kramer the Ibanez does not produce as much volume, but is good enough for playing in small venues and for jamming/rehearsal.
The tone is really nice.
The electronics are simple to use and work well.

I also compared the Ibanez AEB8E-BK to the cheaper version (Ibanez PCBE12MH-OPN), this guitar is a far better build and sound quality.

Money well spent. I love playing it.

D
Solid affordable acoustic electric
Dyl-T 26.09.2022
It's a solid budget acoustic electric bass. The EQ is only 2 bands which is common at this price point, and the frets definitely need to be leveled, but it's solid for the price and at almost any price point you still need to do fret work.
