I bought the Harley Benton Custom Line CLT-20S NT Tenor guitar with the intension of fitting the John Pearse 450L strings. The factory set of strings supplied are CGDA, the 450L strings are GDAE tuning or GDAD. In my opinion the tension of the three wound strings is too low giving a muddy sound with low volume. The strings appear to be well made and may well sound better on a different scale length tenor guitar?
However, I highly recommend the HB tenor guitar with CGDA strings, it sings! Amazing for the price.
