Mit der Kala KA-SMH-T Tenor Ukulele habe ich preisgünstig eine wertige Ukulele erhalten, Sie ist solide verarbeitet und macht auch durch ihre schlicht-klassische Optik etwas her. Trotz des knapp 35mm schmalen Sattels sind die Bünde gut bespielbar – jedenfalls habe ich mit meinen durchschnittlich breiten Fingern und Händen kein Problem damit. Sie klingt mit den werksseitig aufgezogenen Daddario Titanium Saiten gut, aber da ich eine Low-G Besaitung bevorzuge, habe ich Fluorcarbon Saiten mit tiefem G aufgezogen. In meinen Ohren klingt die Kala damit hervorragend. Vom Gewicht her ist sie eher leicht aber solide und liegt gut in der Hand. Ich habe an der Steg-Seite einen Gurtpin angebracht. Vorne befestige ich den Gurt mit einem Band am Hals der Ukulele. Mein Fazit: Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für eine Ukulele aus Mahagoni Massivholz mehr als gut.
