Ultimate remote control for the Kemper

Since its launch, the Kemper Profiling Amplifier has revolutionised the world of guitar amplification and re-defined the established standards. Of course, this type of sonic miracle also has to be easy to operate, especially on stage, and that is why Kemper offers the Kemper Profiler Remote, which easily allows all of the amp’s key functions to be remotely controlled and even enhanced, thus providing the perfect complement to any Kemper amplifier setup. This floorboard remote features a built-in tuner, four expression pedal inputs, and a large display that provides a clear overview of the presets and effects that are currently selected. What is more, the remote can also be used to control the Profiling Amplifier’s looper function, and its “Morph” function is a highly practical feature that can be used to seamlessly crossfade between one or more parameters – making the transition from a dry crunch to a lead sound with delay as simple as pressing a footswitch, for example.

Plug-and-play integration and rapid response

Profiling amps can of course be piloted using a MIDI controller – overall, however, this solution means more work when it comes to assigning the Kemper’s wide range of potential parameters. The Kemper Profiler Remote, on the other hand, directly offers plug-and-play functionality as soon as it is connected and, with its five rig switches and four effect switches as well as a tap tempo function, puts the amp’s key features at the player’s fingertips – or rather, their feet. The Remote’s backlit display with adjustable contrast provides a clear overview of every parameter – audible and inaudible – at all times. And if that still isn’t enough, up to four additional expression pedals can be connected to the Profiler Remote. All of this comes in a robust sheet steel housing in Kemper’s characteristic Profiler design and, to supply the Profiler Remote with the power it requires, the scope of delivery also includes the corresponding etherCON cable in a length suitable for use in practical application.

Now anyone can use their Kemper live

Whether you’re recording in the studio or jamming at home, you can always fully enjoy the benefits of the Remote’s intuitive operation and large display, which make your Kemper amp easy to use in these surroundings. On stage, however, it’s a different story – the key thing here is to have rapid access to the amp’s presets and effects, and every footswitch needs to be pressed with precision. The Remote’s five preset switches and two bank selector switches cover these requirements very effectively, and the tap tempo switch lets you set your effects to match the tempo of the song in the blink of an eye as well. What is more, the Profiler Remote features connections for up to four expression pedals, allowing you to add enhancements like wah-wah sounds and volume pedals to your setup and make your live performance even more impressive.

About Kemper Amps

German firm Kemper Amps, or rather its founder Christoph Kemper, is no stranger to the music industry. His very first product, the virtual-analogue Access Virus synthesizer, was far ahead of its time and brought the company both unexpected success and an impressive reputation within the music profession. Continuing the momentum of this success, the company then developed the “Profiler” technology, which allows an astonishingly realistic reproduction of the sound of a miked amplifier to be made and thus represents the dawn of a new era in digital amplifier simulation. This technology is currently available in different variants of the Kemper Profiler system: As a basic head, as a top with a powerful Class-D power amp integrated, as a rack-mountable unit, and even as a floorboard.

A robust and flexible floorboard for all Kemper amps

Simply plug in your cable and the stage is yours: The Kemper Profiler Remote is directly compatible with every Kemper amplifier and can be used to switch the amp’s presets and effects with zero latency and without requiring any programming. In addition to its perfect system integration, the Remote also boasts an impressively sturdy and robustly built housing that will easily withstand being accidentally stepped on and take the occasional knocks that are part of the everyday routine for gigging musicians in its stride, while the included seven-metre etherCON cable is sufficient even for larger stages. To top it all off, the Remote’s tuner, four expression pedal inputs, and looper are also practical features that make it easier than ever to give an impressive performance.
