I have used different pedal cables - the cheapest ones (those in different colors, you've seen them), then I tried Rockboard, then EBS, but in the end I got a few of these and found them to be reliable, well made, ergonomic and even economical because you get two for the price of one (if you consider the price of other quality cables). Of course, for the same price you could buy a set of six cheapest cables and they would work, and if they broke you wouldn't loose much. But they are not as ergonomic and when your pedal board is packed it becomes an issue.
Then there are flat pedal cables but I found them hard to use with a pedal switcher I have in my setup.
Now I'm replacing all my cables with Kirlin. I also have an instrument cable made by them that leaves the same impression as these pedal cables - they really feel as a high quality product and I haven't noticed any signal coloring or any other problems with them. I cannot recommend them enough.
