Compact floor unit with premium sounds

With the POD Go, Line 6 has added another model to its legendary POD series. Under the bonnet of this compact floorboard is the powerful and extremely flexible sound architecture of the manufacturer's Helix series, which leaves absolutely nothing to be desired in terms of sound design. An LCD colour display ensures simple and clear operation for the more than 300 integrated effects, amplifiers, and speaker simulations, while the expression pedal can be assigned a wide variety of functions. In addition, the Line 6 Pod GO offers a stereo effects loop for integrating further effects. It can also be easily used as an audio interface thanks to the USB connection. With the POD Go Edit app, Line 6 has also provided the latest member of the POD family with an effective tool that enables convenient editing on many devices.

Enough effects for everyone

Musicians using the Line 6 Pod GO really will be spoilt for choice when it comes to creating their desired sounds or presets, as the compact unit offers over 300 different effects, as well the award-winning amp modelling of the Helix series, the M series, and the POD Legacy. If the selection on offer still isn't enough, additional IRs (impulse responses) from third-party providers can be effortlessly added to customise the Line 6 Pod GO to every musician's personal requirements. Helping to keep track of all the options on offer is a centrally placed, full-colour LCD screen, which provides clear and intuitive menu navigation when creating new presets. Each effect group has its own colour – as do the eight robust footswitches, so it is easy to see what is going on, even in the darkest corner of the stage.

About Line 6

The American manufacturer Line 6, which has been an affiliate of the Yamaha group since 2014, is one of the pioneers in the field of digital amplifiers for guitarists. The company was founded in 1996 and, that same year, presented the world’s first digital modelling amplifier: The AxSys 212. The breakthrough came in 1998 with Line 6's POD, which made sound modelling available in home studios for the first time. Since 2015, the Helix series has provided even more refined simulations. The Variax technology has additionally allowed the Californian firm to model electric guitars sounds with ever more flexibility. Besides effects pedals, Line 6 also offers software and recording technology, and is active in the field of digital wireless systems for sound transmission and small PA systems.

From the living room to the stage

A quick practice at home in the morning, rehearsals all day, and then the gig in the evening – the Line 6 POD Go is always an effective and reliable partner, whether it's being used with a power amp and a pair of speakers, a guitar amp, or recording directly to a device via the USB port. Thanks to the dynamic and powerful sound engine, which is taken from Line 6's vastly more expensive Helix series, users have a versatile arsenal of amplifier models and effects at their disposal. However, it's not just the sound of this little box that's full of colour: The vivid LCD screen and the footswitches' coloured surrounds make it easy to see which amp models and effects are currently in use.

A
Helix sounds in a smaller and more affordable package
Archion 25.09.2021
As the other people have said before, it is a great entry to the Line6 Helix family. It sounds great and it is easy to use. The build is stirdy, especially the parts you touch with your foot. However I gave the quality 4 stars due to the knobs and encoders being a bit wobbly and I'm not so sure for how long they will last. Otherwise the design seems to be very well thought out.
The other problem I had with it that the FX-loop didn't work so well in stereo, meaning that after placing it after the stereo effects they collapsed into mono.
Finally I would give my 2 cents from the blindness perspective. I know we are a tiny minority and for most of the people it doesn't matter, but I'm not the only blind person who buys from Thomann, so maybe the following info can be just a bit useful. :)
It is quite usable thanks to the physical buttons, knobs and encoders. The latter ones do click when turned, so you can understand more easily where you are in the effects chain or in the menus. Of course reading the display is a problem but the manual explains them quite well. The only issue I have with it is that each effect modeled can have a different set of parameters and when you cannot see the display and they are not listed in the manual, it can get confusing quite easily. Fortunately trial and error when turning the knobs and listening with your ears usually helps. :)

LP
Pod go Review
Leonardo Pratas 09.12.2021
This unit is amazing, sounds as good as the full-size helix and for most people is more than enough the number of pedals it offers in simultaneous use. Absolutely recommend, especially if you are looking for a cheap rig that sounds amazing or a bedroom practice partner.

GM
Low-Price and High-Quality? Come and get it!
Gustavo Magella 14.11.2022
Hardware:

- The pedalboard itself has a very well-made construction in very resistant steel in addition to very firm and solid switches. Which gives the impression of stepping on a category A pedal, such as the Kempers.

- The LCD screen was also very well put together and the layout of the buttons and their usability transform the simple experience of editing an effect.

Software:

- The pedal board software was very well developed, and it has mechanics of use similar to what they did on the Helix, which is very cool and very advantageous for a pedalboard of this price.

- Very simple to edit and assemble your presets, save them and even back up your pedalboard. As a result, trading effects with my friends has become a hobby.

PodGo Edit:

- I tested the Windows version and didn't find great things there. The GUI part needs some finishing touches on the UI-UX layer. Furthermore, it is simple and intuitive to use. You can quickly set your effect, test it on the fly, and save it to your pedalboard.

- It fulfils its objective very well in simplicity, but it is not one of the most beautiful on the market.

Cost vs. Benefit:

- To be honest, I saw very little difference between it and Helix (apart from the fact that Helix has a greater number of presets and even slightly higher quality in the hardware). So, if I were going to buy a new pedalboard today, I would go with the PodGO.

- In my humble opinion it was worth every penny, and I still think this pedal is being marketed very cheaply, for what it offers to end consumers.

M
Life-saving live rig!
Moskey 11.10.2021
It's super practical, has huge sound quality and it has a really cool price tag! It has the essential Helix effects, but in a small, compact and ready-to-go package. The fact that I can use it as an interface as well, and manage to download any plugin I want and upload it to the POD Go, is such a cool touch. If you're looking to upgrade your rig for the first time after a while, PLEASE get this. I highly recommend it.
