Great file
SouledOut 22.07.2021
This file is for crowning jumbo frets but can be also used to dress your sharp frets any size. There is a thomann video on youtube that goes through how to dress your frets and they show this file and how to use it properly. So the video is a must watch for someone who is just getting started. The file is sharp so no need to press it like crazy against the frets, less is more.
All in all this file is priced fair (compared to other fret files), that cheap fret set is nothing compared to this and using this file you can crown and dress frets no problem.
Highly recommend this product.

Excellent

I used this to cure fret sprout on my HB JB-75MN NA Vintage bass. I followed the instruction on the excellent Thomann video. I've never done this before, and was amazed how easy it was and how good the result is. For this bass, it was the perfect tool for the job.

Expensive but good - in some cases

If you need to secure your hands and fingers from being murdered by sharp fret ends this might be a tool for you. Watch the video on Youtube if you havent done this before and you will likely get a decent result.
But if your guitar has stainless steel frets it is going to be a pain in a certain place - fret file or not. At least you should be prepared to spend some time on it…. But for all other fret materials it works absolutely fine

Small, good, specialized.

Great tool for fretwork. Highly specialized...has a concave file on the bottom, two flat files on the sides.

The way is built will ensure you don't damage your fretboard cause it has rounded edges all around the tool.

Super expensive for such a small tool though.
