Good but fragile

Despite quite digging the sound, I was really disappointed with the quality of those cymbals. I wanted to experiment with china cymbals a little bit and, encouraged by other reviews, I decided to pull the trigger on it. Unfortunately, each of the cymbals I received had some sort of flaw. One time it was a tiny chip at the edge or, then a small dent towards the center of the cymbal. Despite replacing the cymbal three times, none of them was was quite right. Finally, I gave up replacing, but decided to give it a try anyway.

I was pleasantly surprised with the sound of the china. It's this sort extremally enjoyable sand-like crash with fast decay that metal drummers love so much. Despite not being very loud, it cuts through the mix very well and is immensely satisfying to hit together with the snare. I would love, however, if it were more long lasting. The first one of the cymbals I bought lasted about 2-3 months, the second one has been going on for about a year, but now the crack at the edge and in the center has widened a lot and soon the cymbal will give up a ghost.

If you're okay with treating these chinas as expendable ones, as they simply won't last for a long time, or if you just want to experiment with a cheap china, you can give them a try, as the sound is really great. If you, however, are looking for something more durable, steer clear of it.

Good light and thin chinese china
Krestoph 26.11.2017
A surprisingly good cheap china, very thin for a chinese cymbal, gives a nice light wash, not too agressive.
Not exactly suited for metal, but as a china that blends inside the music, it's of good quality.
Overall, a good cymbal, but if you want something heavier, buy a larger china, or even the thomann Wuhan chinas, had one of those, they're very thick compared to these millenium.

A Hidden Gem

Bought this on a whim, completely not regretting it.

It's great for use in metal, very bright, cuts through well, but is SUPER LOUD.

The cymbal itself doesn't feel massively solid, and when I took it out of the box I didn't think it would be much and it would break instantly. I've been hammering away on it pretty hard for 2 weeks and it's working like a champ.

My criticisms would be that the decay could be shorter, but that is highly subjective.

If you want a bright trashy loud china that works great in metal, then try this!
