Tough and responsive

I've tried a couple of the Fire Grain sets now, and found that you have to get used to the feel of the fired wood as it's not quite as porous in the hands as regular hickory. Once you're used to that and adjust your grip accordingly in the heat of a busy session, the difference between the Forward and Rebound is noticeable. I was getting wrist pains with the Forward sticks but a slightly heavier sound, but I felt much more comfortable with the Rebound model, playing faster without fighting the sticks - and without having to step down to lighter 7A sticks on more complex rock drumming where the stick power is needed inbetween those tricky fills. Definitely a keeper for me, even though the price is a little high. Still not broken a set yet, despite heavy rimshots on most full snare hits....

Matchless sticks

These are exactly the sticks I've been looking for. They are quite heavy (but still not "too heavy", it's not like with some sticks that make you feel that you play with metal rods), but at the same time are really nicely weighted. Moreover they are very durable and have wonderful "flame" finish. I would mostly recommend them for some heavier kind of music.

Holds longer

Good quality, holds longer than regular sticks so I guess it's worth the price premium. Plus they look quite cool.

Good sticks, mostly.

Beautifully balanced sticks that have a nice visual appeal and feel. Not normally a 5A kinda guy as I prefer a thinner stick, but I must admit I'm playing with these more and more lately. Very nice balance and good weight for versatile drumming. Though better suited to acoustic kits due to the weight, they allow for some pretty effortless drumming on my e kit.

Some very slight warp in one stick but wont complain unless it gets worse and starts to affect playability and balance. Promark quality is definitely not what it used to be sadly.
