Quality case and protection for your sax
SteveR 27.05.2013
After a lot of research looking for a replacement case for my alto sax, I finally decided to go for the Protec PB-304CT. The red version was tempting, but I decided to go for the more sober black version. Quality is absolutely first rate - stitching and material give confidence that this is a case that will last.

Internally, the sax, neck and mouthpiece have their own dedicated space. Two generous pockets on the outside provide room for a good number of accessories, and the optional backpack strap is a worthwhile addition.

The only minor issue is that the case tends to topple when the sax is removed. If the neck or mouthpiece are not secured, they could be launched into the air with the potential for damage. Overall though, a buy I'm very happy with.

This is a good case for sax, it looks very good and the shoulder strap is fantastic! It was actually a bit small for my saxophone, it still fit, but the saxophone deformed the case which obviously isn't good for the case or the saxophone.
It would've been fantastic if the pocket on the back fit A4 papers for students, but sadly that's not the case.
Overall its a good product which I recommend if you are in need for a soft case for your saxophone, but for most purposes I would recommend a hard case.

Top Quality Case

Zippers, velvet ,metal hooks and overall craftmanship is top notch. Side pockets are very generous and can accommodate everything you need for a gig. Wireless microphone system, jazzlab sax holder, sax stand, cables, swabs. It's a bit top heavy,so when you take out the saxophone,it will topple over when the side pocket is full but that's to be expected...Also in my opinion, the price is resonable for a professional grade equipment that will last you ages... very satisfied with the purchase. I use it for Yamaha Yas 475

Great for the traveling saxophonist

This is a my second purchase but the first one lasted a good many years of rough handling and literally traveling around a good bit of the world. This second one seems to be built just as sturdy now a few years into using it. I trust that the frame keeps my horn safe. It's not the prettiest, but I appreciate the added pocket space, meaning that sometimes I don't need to bring anything but this case to play.
I'm torn on recommending the backpack straps because on one hand I find that better to carry it (it does add weight) but at the same time they are placed at an odd place making it not the most comfortable, particularly if commuting by bike with a rear basket (it sits low, when I feel it should have been raised). Still, for the storage space and protection, I have yet to find an alternative.
