Fantastic case for elderly alto sax

Most cases don't fit my alto (a Martin Handcraft from the '20s) so I did not have much choice. However, I am very happy with the case. The inside is nicely padded and soft but the sax cannot move around, which is good. The space for the mouthpiece and the neck are a bit too big, so I have to wrap them. The pockets are great for accessories. The strap and handles are well made and the whole case seems very robust. I am a bit afraid of zippers but this case has two extra velcro straps for security.

Perfect for antique/vintage horns, my 1926/35 Martins fit snuggly inside it and it has kept them well protected ever since.

Das Protec PB-304CT XL ist ein toll verarbeitetes, handliches und vor allem stabiles Altsaxcase. Durch das blaue Samtinnere wirkt das Protec PB-304CT XL sehr edel. Der Innenraum des Koffers enthält ein separates Staufach für den S-Bogen sowie ein weiteres für ein Mundstück. Die Außenhülle wirkt sehr robust und bietet Platz für diverses Zubehör wie Wischer, Blätter usw. . Im Gegensatz zum "normalen" Protec Case ist das Protec PB-304CT XL so geräumig, dass auch Vintageinstrumente ausreichend Platz darin finden. Mit der separat erhältlichen Rucksackgarnitur lässt sich das Case auch gut auf dem Rücken tragen, wobei allerdings die kleinere der beiden Zuhöraußentaschen etwas störend auf dem Rücken aufliegen.

Insgesamt ist das Protec PB-304CT XL jedoch eine sehr hochwertige und vor allem sichere Aufbewahrungs- und Transportmöglichkeit für mein Altsax.
