I was looking for a flatwound set with unwound 3rd (G) string, couldn't find anything like that in the market so I decided to go with Pyramid Gold True Vintage Flatwound set and a single .010 1st (E) string, that way I was able to get .010 .013 .018 .026 .036 .047 gauge set of my own which I am most comfortable with. the sound is dark, and it doesn't change at all. Flatwounds hardly ever brake so it's a great investment that won't kill your frets like steel round wound strings do. I use a 1952 Gibson ES 125 and these strings are perfect mate for my guitar.

outstanding quality of sound

After a lot of experimentation with other strings, I turned to these Pyramid heavy gauge flat wounds and I am astounded at how good they sound. They take a week to stretch, then another month before they start to sing. After that they are good for at least two years before fading and still they sound good! Beautiful voice and incredible sustain with an even volume across all six strings, and respond well to drop tuning.
Outstanding handmade strings that feel lovely to the touch, and I no longer use anything else.

Lovely feel
Rihards 28.07.2020
These are my first flatwound strings and I am basically just beginning playing guitar, so I can't quite say how these sound, compared to other strings.
I put these on Ibanez AS53-TF and they do feel great.
At first the feel was very odd, coming from roundwounds, but with each day I'm liking these strings more and more.

Came from 11s, pretty amazed.

Fits a Gretsch Electromatic G5420t without any problems, you'll need to adjust your Truss Rod for sure, that's the only thing.
I've player 11s for a couple years and now I jumped to 13s on this one.
Lovely strings for just about everything, but especially for Jazz.
Love them!
Yes you can still bend and vibrate with ease, no extreme Gilmour bends on this one but you can play blues if you wanted without any problem.
Playing chords is not as hard as people say in forums. Is as good as 11s but with the benefit of a MUCH better tone and much improved intonation stability.
