Great Choice for me!
DaMoon OnTheBeat 16.01.2022
I was a bit hesitant while ordering this microphone stand Because compared to Millenium and Fun Generation, It had much fewer reviews and It was quite a risk to buy this one. But Now I 100% recommend it As it has quite high quality, due to its very reasonable price.
It's quite compact, which makes it great for a musician like me who travels a lot and needs a microphone stand that easily assembles or snuggles. The boom arm just goes all the way in the main pole!
For adjusting the height, It has clutches instead of knobs, which is actually what satisfies me so much about it. Because knobs usually seem to fail and become stripped.

You can see me unboxing this microphone stand in my youtube video, where I set up my first home studio!

at first glance a genius idea... until you take it into action
Shahab Tolouie 24.09.2024
The initial idea of this compact stand is absolutely phenomenal. the streamline design and the sufficient length would make it an ideal solution for the touring musicians/sound guys where every inch of saved space is valued greatly.
The problem though lies in the quality of the materials. the fragile and unreliable plastic joints, the low quality screws which easily wear off, the cheap winged screw cap which wouldn't hold the arm unless you really did use some force to tighten it up, and of course it broke the second time we used the stand. I needs to be mentioned that there's no spare parts in offer to buy additionally. so, when it happens your stand is unusable.
all in all, I'm sure there are many who would pay twice as much for the sake of the portability and ease of use. I certainly would.
but unfortunately in my humble opinion at the time being this product isn't worth buying, and for us it has been only a waste material to go into the garbage bin.
There's no doubt in Thomann's reliable services. it's always isa joy to shop from Thomann with maximum satisfaction.
Cheers

Very Disappointed. This stand is not worth the money.
NeilPeartForever 11.11.2024
The concept is great and I am on the road all summer busking and playing cafes, clubs and small venues. Something so collapsable seems like a great Idea for portability and space seems great at first until you use it.

This Stand is not up for the task. If you want something small and cheap for the corner of your home or apartment maybe thats ok if its never collapsed and moved often.

The wing nut and yellow angle adjustment snapped and broke off the second time I used it. Not sure where the wing nut went and maybe something else rolled away. I was playing on an outdoor deck and the small pieces fell through the cracks in the deck. In order to make the show go on, I ran to my car for some Zip Ties and totally macgivered something just to keep the mic attached to something without falling over.

Since I was on the road and living in a van all summer I never got around to doing anything about it and always tried to borrow a stand. From then on other wise it was duct tape to the stand and no adjustability during my sets.

The boom is very week and can barely counter balance the weight of a normal Shure Sm58. I also use a Mackie showbox and the mixer mounts to the mic stand. This is a very light weight mixer but the stand was very unstable and moved every time I need to touch something on the mixer.

I am kicking myself because I new buying it without seeing it would be risky but I was sold on the description and specs. It really is made with very cheap plastic and unreliable adjustability.

I should of put that money towards a real mic stand. Some things you just can't compromise and mic stands for anyone that knows is one of those things that can make or break a performance.

I don't recommend this item, Spend double to avoid the trouble. You get what you pay for.
