Professional pedalboards

The company RockBoard specialises in pedalboards, including accessories, and has been offering a wide range of professional-quality products in this field for many years. RockBoard's portfolio includes pedalboards in various sizes and price ranges, ensuring the right product for every guitarist and bassist. The CINQUE 5.4 is a relatively large board designed to accommodate effects pedals over as many as four rows. Like all RockBoard pedalboards, the CINQUE 5.4 (available here as a bundle with a matching gig bag) boasts all the features and expansion options of the product line, including a highly robust construction. The key attributes of the RockBoard CINQUE 5.4 at a glance: Relatively compact, solid, portable, and highly flexible.

A proper home for those pedals

Measuring 1002 x 424mm (L x D), the RockBoard CINQUE 5.4 provides space for 20 to 30 effects pedals, which can be arranged across four rows. All pedals are easily accessed and operated by foot courtesy of the 10° angled board surface. Produced from cold-rolled aluminium sheet, the board's robust yet lightweight (approximately 5.1kg) construction can more than endure the rigours of life on tour. The black powder coating not only looks cool but is also resistant to external influences. A unique feature of the RockBoard pedalboard is the slot system, which allows pedals to be mounted with a single click. The RockBoard CINQUE 5.4 also features suitable slots or ports for connecting other accessories, such as power supplies (two slots) and LED lights, and comes in a robust gig bag with sufficient quantities of self-adhesive hook and loop tape.

Creating space and order

As a player's pedal collection increases, so does the tangled weave of power and patch cables, where achieving a neat and space-saving pedal setup seems nigh on impossible. This is where the pedalboard comes in - bringing order to the user's effects pedal arrangement. The necessary power supply can be mounted underneath the board, with "underground" cable routing. The pedals themselves can be securely fastened in parallel using hook and loop tape or the click system. RockBoard's ultra-flat and flexible patch cables will also prove helpful here. The CINQUE 5.4 is ideal for guitarists and bassists who own and wish to use multiple pedals, allowing several multi-power supplies to be mounted via slot or on its underside.

Matching accessories

RockBoard not only offers a wide range of pedalboards but also practical accessories and expansion options, including the simple yet ingenious slot system, which allows pedals from renowned manufacturers such as MXR or BOSS to be "clicked" into the corresponding slot on the pedalboard. RockBoard also provides a power supply solution in the form of its proprietary Universal Power Supplies (UPS), which fit into the corresponding slots on the board or can be discreetly attached to the underside. For dark stages, RockBoard offers LED lights which simply screw into the on the side of the board and are powered via the UPS. Additional accessories include pedal risers and step-ups for elevating one or more pedals, not to mention custom-fit cases and bags for its pedalboard range.

The box made me think I had another guitar. I thought all my pedals would fit . But they don't. Neither do they need to. You probably don't even need a board this big to gig with. I don't either. You better have a big stage.
I got it for bedroom use or should I say jamming and recording. I have 3 delays and fuzz pedals on it for crying out loud. But the main thing is It's light weight and tough and they sale mods to centralize all the wires. I got the mod 4 which I have questions about and I contacted Rockboard. Plus they provide more than enough Velcro. I am in love with Rockboard. Even though they don't respond to my email

Great value!

These pedal boards are great; they're well-made, well specified and above all great value. The build quality is very good, it easily stands up to life on the road and the ability to add modules to control TRS, XLR, MIDI ins and outs is fantastic.

Solid build, ready to tour.
pmdubai 12.07.2018
Used this floor board to tidy up an expanding pedal rig and it gave me everything I was looking for.
Solid steel build with enough height and metal thickness to allow for a 16pair military grade multicore and separate single PowerCon connection to be securely mounted on the rear panel. This has made for an easy life in fast turn-arounds on stage.
Tour bag had enough room to cope with a full board of pedals, including a rather deep Axe Fx MC101 Midi controller being surface mounted in line with the rear of the board.
This will tour for the coming year and I have no doubt it will last with us for many more.
