J
excellent strings for down- tuning
John3168 14.08.2018
I usually stick to Daddario strings but wanted to try out down tuning on my regular 6 string guitar (Cort MBC1, in stock at Thomann) .

Having read that Michael Amott tunes C to c with these string I got them and decided that for me B-b tuning made more sense.

Worked out very well as the guitar is now a Baritone range, the only slight detraction is that the g string feels a little lacking in tension. But other wise fine.

The Strings have lasted 6 weeks or so now, tone still good.

I actually used them with bstandart tuning wich means its like bariton guitar now, well, strings are loose, but yhey are made for dropC, so they act great.

Very versatile, I use them for different tunings on both Gibson and Fender scale.

Excellent for C-standard
Thomas Bz 05.10.2021
String themselves are really nice for C-standard. Super chuggy on the low end, while still being easy and playable on the high end. The only downside is that they're a bit quick to lose their shimmer, but at the price range, one could easily buy a few packs and change them out every month or two, depending on how much you play.
