The best pop filter I own
Mike Kampitakis 27.10.2020
I used to have problems with sibilance and pops while some singers happened to record in my home studio. I only had some really inexpensive pop filters that couldn't bear the massive air amount that cause that annoying sound. I chose this one because it's not so expensive compare to other ones and it really does the job done. It is metal with weird align holes that completely change the stream of airwaves and redirect them away from the mic. Needs some experiments on how to place it between the mic and the singer but once you find it, it really works.

a very decent one

great affordable pop screen for recording vocalists. if you leave some distance between it and the mic the mesh does its job perfectly, the air does not reach the microphone at all. i was impressed when i first used it. the high frequency/transient distortion isnt really audible here. only if you really like blow in it you get an annoing hiss - but nobody will blow into it.. also the neck could be a little bit longer, but thats the only actual disadvantage of this popfilter.

I decided to go with this metal pop screen to see the difference between the nylon one. This exact model was in the price range I was interested in, so I tried it on the TLM 102. It does what a pop screen is supposed to do, handling plosives really well. I also noticed that the sibilances are clearer and more pronounced. However, the downside is that I can hear the wind hitting the surface, especially when I go for a more intimate sound. But overall, it's pretty solid and got the looks.
